"theFELTexperience"
Long before we can explain what we are feeling, the body already knows.
Trauma, shame, and self-doubt are rarely stored as clear memories. Instead they settle into the body — in the chest, the stomach, the shoulders — forming a quiet but persistent tension that shapes how we move through the world.
Philosopher Eugene Gendlin described this phenomenon as the “felt sense”: a subtle but powerful awareness of the body’s emotional landscape. It is the place where psychological experience becomes physical sensation.
theFELTexperience explores this intersection between mind and body. The figures in the work embody the weight of internalized struggle — the tension between self-perception and self-worth, between the identity we present and the feelings we carry beneath the surface.
Although a model was used for the composition, the work reflects a deeply personal confrontation with self-esteem and vulnerability. It marks a moment in which bodily awareness became a doorway into deeper self-understanding.
To listen to the body is to begin uncovering the stories the mind has long tried to hide.
