anisotropy

We rarely experience reality as it is.

We experience it through memory.

Through conditioning.

Through fear.

Through hope.

Every experience we have leaves an imprint on perception, quietly shaping how we interpret ourselves, others, and the world around us.

Borrowing its title from the scientific term describing materials whose properties change depending on the direction from which they are observed, anisotropy explores the psychological nature of perception itself.

The work suggests that identity is never formed from a single perspective. We are constantly interpreting reality through shifting internal landscapes—past experiences, cultural narratives, emotional states, and unconscious beliefs.

Transformation begins when we recognize that our perspective is not reality itself.

It is only one way of seeing.
