Looking Forward: The Future of My Art

The beauty of art is that it’s never finished. It evolves, shifts, and grows just as we do. As I reflect on where I’ve been, I’m also looking ahead to where I want to go—not just in my work, but in how I connect with the world around me.
The future of my art isn’t about perfection; it’s about exploration. It’s about diving deeper into the themes I hold close, experimenting with new materials, and finding fresh ways to tell stories that matter. Let me share where this journey is taking me next.
Exploring New Themes
Themes like trauma, healing, and transformation will always be part of my work—they’re the foundation of what I do. But as I grow, I’m being drawn to ideas of legacy, power, and the dualities within us: light and shadow, strength and vulnerability, creation and destruction.
The question I keep coming back to is: How do we carry forward what we’ve learned, and how do we reshape it for the future? My work is shifting toward exploring not just where we’ve been, but where we’re going.
Experimenting with Materials
Mixed media has always been a key part of my process, and I’m excited to push the boundaries even further. I’m exploring new materials—ones that challenge me and add unexpected dimensions to my work. Think textures that beg to be touched, layers that invite closer inspection, and forms that push the limits of what my art can be.
This experimentation isn’t just about the materials—it’s about the stories they can tell. Each layer, texture, and medium adds another voice to the conversation.

Creating for Connection
At its core, my work is about connection—between artist and viewer, between the past and the present, between ourselves and the world around us. As I move forward, I want to deepen that connection, creating pieces that don’t just speak, but spark dialogue, reflection, and even action.
The future of my art isn’t just about me—it’s about us. It’s about finding new ways to build bridges through creativity, emotion, and shared experiences.
Pushing Boundaries
Growth comes from stepping outside of what feels safe, and that’s exactly where I’m headed. I want to create work that surprises even me—pieces that challenge expectations and redefine what my art can be. Whether it’s through scale, material, or subject matter, the future is about breaking through boundaries.
It’s not about playing it safe. It’s about taking risks, embracing the unknown, and seeing where it leads.
The future of my art is as much about the questions as it is about the answers. It’s about staying curious, taking risks, and leaning into the unknown. I don’t know exactly where this path will take me, but I do know this: it will be honest, raw, and unapologetically mine.
I’d love to hear from you—what resonates with you? What themes or ideas do you want to see explored? Let’s keep this conversation going.
